1) What is your sponge activity?
My sponge activity will be drawing two circles on the board and posing a question on top. The question will be: WHAT is ASTRONOMY? My audience will be divided into groups of three or four and will have to come up with definitions that best describes the subject?
(2) What do you plan to do and say in the introduction?*
(2) What do you plan to do and say in the introduction?*
In my introduction, I plan to introduce myself and my essential question. I will be explaining what I thought my EQ meant and what it really means at that point.
(3) What do you plan to say in your foundation?
(3) What do you plan to say in your foundation?
My foundation will be described in a power point slide. It will have a table of content about what will be going on the presentation; what to expect and wrapping it up in the end.
(4) What will your 2 or 3 answers be for your 2 hour?
(4) What will your 2 or 3 answers be for your 2 hour?
Targeting a state standard, use an assessment matrix, and different pedagogical approaches will be my three answers.
(5) What activities will you do for each answer and why?
(5) What activities will you do for each answer and why?
a. Use an assessment matrix: I will give each student a test at the beginning of my presentation and at the end of. This will give them an understanding of the importance of assessing and why astronomy teachers do it.
b. Targeting a state standard: I’ll be conducting an experiment about black holes. The students will be given paper made of rubber and marbles. The purpose of this activity is learning about black holes and their motion to earth. I’ll post an objective and demonstrate how the students learn about black holes in a fun way.
c. Pedagogical approaches: I’ll be having different booths in the class about rocks (meteors, asteroids, and comets), deep space, and galaxies. There will be a paper of each booth describing types of learning approaches in each booth. T he purpose of this activity is to show the students how different teachers may approach different concepts on different topics.
(6) How do you plan to conclude your 2 hour?*
(6) How do you plan to conclude your 2 hour?*
I plan to conclude by two hour by answering by EQ. Then, describing my product and how it has helped me throughout my project. Finally, addressed my three main sources and why.
(7) How do you plan to decorate the room?
