Independent Study 2 Approval

1) Write a description of what you plan on doing for your second independent study.

2) How does your independent study 2 relate to your EQ?

1)     My second independent task is one key element for my senior project, which is teaching the astronomy. I planned to teach different levels of education. I have my presentations and activities done in my first independent task and now it is time to use it. For this component I am trying to see the difference of teaching methods for each grade level- elementary, middle school, high school, and college. I have emailed different students who are willing to participate at least two hours once a week for each grade level. I am pretty excited because it is something I have been waiting for a long time. I know the subject pretty well and hopefully everything goes according to plan. Moreover, I will be analyzing each students work and their progress from the beginning till the end. This will be inserted in a table and I’ll be making some observations as well.

2)      This independent task relates to my EQ because it’s going to give me the experience of teaching the astronomy class. I will know how to interact with each grade level differently and hopefully come up with my final answers for my EQ in May. I am confident that I am going to succeed because I have worked so hard on this by researching, talking to experts, and putting everything together to prepare myself for this component. I am guessing at the end of this independent task, I will most likely approach my two hour presentation with excellence. I am very excited to begin!
